Jersey Clam Shell

In our area, we all have memories of great summers at the Jersey Shore. As kids, we'd play for hours, in the waves or building sandcastles. A favorite tool was the clam shell. We've captured that afternoon, that shell, in glass. 
By pressing a shell from our own Asbury Park beach into out special sand mixture, we create a detailed mold. Then a glass artist fills it with molten glass to create a simple, elegant, beautiful version of the original. 

Each shell is approximately 4" across, ±.5"
