Display and canvas details:
Gallery wrapped stretched canvas: The staples holding the canvas to the stretcher bars are on the back so the painting is ready for immediate display, a frame is not needed. This painting includes a hanging clip or will have a hanging wire installed on the back.

Notes: This work is done on Heavy Duty 1.5 inch deep stretcher bars. It is a raw (un-primed) canvas stretched over the bars. An acrylic wash with very little polymer was first painted on the raw canvas prior to the impasto oil. As this substrate has very little priming the oils absorb into it. So, unlike most of my paintings which usually have a very heavy priming, this painting will not be glossy. The oil paint will have a very matte finish to it. The sides of the canvas intentionally have some of the acrylic dripping down to give an extra dimension and illustrate the process of the work.
