Product Description

This is a very unique piece of folk art of a women's arm and hand with the fingers crossed. The fingernails are tipped with brass as well as the ring. The begging of the arm is decorated with brass as well and has a loop so the item could be hung from a wall. The arm also has a gold bracelet around it, the material appears to be some sort of metal. The pinky finger is missing a finger nail. All the previous owner could tell me about this item is that he inherited it from his aunts estate where it hung on the walls for years. The wood is heavy but i don't know what kind off wood it is.

Measures: 10.5" long x about 3.5" wide at the hand

Weight: 1.25 lbs

In the Russian culture, the sign that the hand is making means "Nothing". For example, if a person asked the question: "What do i get for the work i did?" The person answering would reply by showing the sign the item is making, signifying that they get nothing.

*There are some cracks and one small chip in the wood (please see pictures) but it is not very visible because it blends into the dark wood.
